Well, hit the "Big 60" yesterday. (8/8/58). Meeting my local golf buddies in Vegas and we plan to play TPC Las Vegas on Saturday. It's supposed to cool down to 105 by then (from 111 earlier this week). If the reality of 60 didn't kill me, the golf on Saturday just might finish me off. Then there's all the other trouble i can get into on a weekend in Vegas. Pictures to follow... well some of the pictures.

Enjoyed the course. Drove the ball great all day but couldn’t hit my irons to save my life. Pretty hot day at 102 but could have been worse. Overall, nice course and well maintained.

A belated Happy Birthday, there young fellow. As you get older the heat gets worse. What a great way to spend you birthday. My wife said she is taking me on a cruise to the Bahamas for my 72nd in September and no golf. Hopefully when you all get to Charleston in October the humidity will drop some. Heat index Saturday morning was 105*. I feel your pain. I can handle the dry heat better than all this high humidity. Hope you had a great time.

Happy Birthday! I love that course. Playing it again when I go to Vegas in September. The staff are awesome in my experience, it's always a pleasure going there. I enjoy it there more than the other shenanigans of Vegas.

My only "complaint" is the 18th hole, compared to the rest of the course, it's kind of boring and lacks the view that many of the other holes provide.

A bad case of cabin hit me last week so I pulled some Marriott and Delta points to fly out to LV for the weekend. The JW Marriott resort had a deal that effectively threw in a free round of golf at TPC LV. The over-seeding was in good shape and after playing greens not mowed since Labor Day, struggled with the pace of the well-groomed greens. But no matter, it wasn't 34 and I couldn't walk out onto the water hazard for the ball that went wayward. Well worth the time. Squeezed in a second 18 at Angel Park across the street from the resort. Not as good, but in pretty good shape for $50 for 18 and a cart.
