  1. Hi all! I have a trip to Boston tentatively scheduled for the end of September, and I’m definitely going to get in a round or two. I’ve done a little research on the courses in the area and have a shortlist of courses I might play (George Wright and Gannon Municipal are two of the favorites right now), but if anyone here has any suggestions for courses I should play near Boston, I’m all ears. I will most likely have a car, so traveling out of the city shouldn’t be an issue, but I’d prefer not to drive more than 45ish minutes from the city.

    Thanks!

William Devine is also a municipal course that, like George Wright, has been 'resurrected' of recent. Ponkapoag has 36 holes, I think both are Ross courses, but I have no idea what conditions are like as they have TONS of rounds annually. I believe Granite Links is public and offers some fantastic views of the area (and is exposed to wind!).
  3. Ponkapoag is not in the best shape right now, it’s playable, and the layouts are great though. If you have time you should try and set up a tour of Ball Plant 3, it’s very informative and they have a shop where they sell Team Titleist merch at the end.

Take a drive south to Plymouth and play Crosswinds (3 9 hole layouts that make up different 18 hole combinations) or Pinehills ( 2 18 hole courses). It may also be possible to book a time a TPC Boston.
