Good Resort in Mid-Atlantic / South East USA

    Hello all,

    I am looking for a weekend golf focused get away somewhere in the mid-atlantic or south eastern US that won't break the bank. I have been playing since 2022 with a few of my buddies and we absolutely love playing and want to branch out to some nicer resort courses.

    Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

    Myrtle Beach usually has some good package deals with decent courses that are budget friendly.

    If you go to Pinehurst but play the courses not part of the resort you can stay in one hotel while accessing multiple courses.
    The RTJ Trail in Alabama offers multiple sites but might require changing a hotel but is moderately priced.

    I am personally a big fan of Pinehurst. You don’t have to stay at the main resort. Less expensive options will include Talamore, with a choice of several nice courses. You could also stay at Pine Needles and have access to three Donald Ross classic courses. Then of course, there are many others in the area as well, including tobacco Road that’s about 30 miles away, but well worth the trip. Good luck. I don’t think you could go wrong with any of these.

    Ocean City, MD and Atlantic City, NJ are two areas that often offer relatively affordable packages and a number of courses.

    Best prices run May thru August. After labor day, the fall they consider that prime time. Weather is better in the fall .
