    Morning TT Members

I currently play the 917F2 in 13.5 and wondered if anyone who has already been on the TS fitting days has had the opportunity to try the TS2 13.5 ? Have you previously tried the 917F2 in the same loft ? How do they compare ? Thanks in advance Nick

    Nick,

At 13.5 I guess you are using this mainly off the tee?

You have got to go and try the TS !!! I've not tried in 13.5 but I have tried and been fitted for both 917 and TS2. My specs are different what I can say is the TS2 is very straight (it was windy at St Ives), and consistent for flight and dispersion and the balls go like a rocket (+17 yards carry over my old 3 wood) and from recollection of my 917 fit earlier this year I think TS easily came out best. Luckily at the National Fitting centre I could try them off various grass lies as well as the mat and Tee. Hope this helps

I had my fitting with Matt at Moor Park GC and what a fascinating experience it was ! Thanks to 'operator error' we did not get off to the best starts, made worse by having a tour pro in the bay next door who managed to hit the ball further than I knew was possible ! Matt was excellent showing me through Trackman where some of the fault lay and what we could do to remedy it. The end result was that I performed best on a 15 degree 3 wood, hitting 220 ish down the middle consistently. I am now waiting for contact from the venue staff to firm up an order. I have never been fitted like this before and certainly now see the benefits and would recommend both the Titleist products and the fitting process from Titleist staff before buying anything. Will update with the full specs when I have them.

    Nick,

Sounds like you are a convert to the Titleist fitting experience...

    TS2 or TS3 ?

What improvement did you have over your old 13.5 and did you try TS in 13.5?

Did you try anything else Drivers, Irons or wedges?

My TS2 3 wood has arrived but will have to wait until later this week to pick it up (unfortunately slight injury may delay first rounds scheduled for Sunday and Tuesday next week...

Yes, I did try the 13.5 but that just did not seem right, didn't like the flight or the leak to the right. Also tried a few hits on the TS2 driver as I currently don't have one, the results confirmed why I don't have one ! Drivers and I just do not get on. Loved the flight and direction the above gave me, fingers crossed it will play as well on the course.

    TT members,

I have just taken delivery of my newTS3 3 wood, can't wait to try it out this weekend. Thanks to those of you who have had issues for publishing them. I removed mine from the bag and checked it over carefully against the spec before leaving the pro shop, thankfully no issues with it ! Now how am I going to tell my wife I am sleeping with the TS3 tonight ?

    Nick,

Congrats on the new arrival....a word of warning!!

Picked mine up on Tuesday where I was just about to tee off in a society day.... Thought a quick visit to the range to warm up and try my TS to check it's flight as there were a couple of long par 4s and 4 par 5's which I was expecting to use it on where misses could mean a trip into the pine trees.

Ouch! on my second strike in the range I got it out of the heel and the hard ball chipped the crown.... thankfully the new black finish should be easy to match with black nail varnish. Never damaged a crown before so a bit miffed.

The first par 4 and par 5 I was out of position to use it but the 2nd Par 5 it flew straight and true leaving me a short pitch and on the final par 5 I reached the front fringe of the green in two …. (41 points which was good enough for 3rd place)

So impressed had a #TitleistThursday fitting today to discuss whether I should go 818h or TS2 5 wood.... 5 wood it is with a 22deg 818h to fill the gap to 5iron.

I also looked at the 5 wood however I have an old 913F cranked to 18.5 which has become my 'go to' club, it will be hard to replace it. Then onto an 816H1 at 23 degrees, aren't we lucky Titleist give us so many options !
