1. Did you buy it online - was the price too good to be true?
2. Did you call customer service at Titleist by calling a number listed at the bottom of the web page?
3. Can you compare it to an SM7 still on the rack at a local retailer, or with someone you know that has one?

Authorized retailers, including internet stores with brick and mortar locations, are generally trustworthy. Sites that can't be validated as authorized retailers have a much lower trust value.

There are so many good counterfeiters out there and it is very hard for layman like ourselves to make that call. Give customer service a call with the serial number. They are the experts in that area.

After talking to the folks at Titleist today, it is very hard to say definitely if this is a fake or not. Their clubs are manufactured all over the world and any made in the US, the serial numbers begin with either a 0 or a 1. For future reference you can always go to the bottom of this site under PRODUCT REGISTRATION and complete the information regarding the type of club and the registration number, if available, to see if it is a club you would be interested in prior to purchase. With respect and hope this bit of information helps. Titleist ran this number and could not find any information on it....... Did you purchase it outside the United States?
