PW stock wedge vs PW Vokey

    I have always bought the PW when buying a set of iron. Any advantage of not buying and replacing it with a vokey PW? Besides the fact i can save a few $$

    The Vokey PW allows for less forgiveness (compared to your set pitching wedge if you are playing T150s, T200 and T350); IMHO

    I prefer the Titleist PW for the set I am buying however if you are playing MB, CB or T100's both the Set PW and Vokey 48 , either bent weak or strong, should act similar...

    I like the Titleist PW and 48W with my T300s I played and now the T350s. I had mine bent one degree strong as Chris mentioned. Finished the set off with a 52* and 56* Vokey wedge.

    I play a Vokey 46 bent 1 degree weak to match the gapping in my irons (620 MB). I think it depends on if you generally play full shots with your PW or not. I sometimes use mine for full shots but I want the versatility of using it for various shots (and flights).

    My fitter was a Tour rep for years, I've used him for 20 years, He always tells me to use the PW (46) from the iron set as opposed to the Vokey (46). I play the T100's now, after MB's for years. HIs explanation is too long for my liking, I've been around scratch for 30 years, my wedge game is the reason why. I'll keep listening to him.

    I always got the PW and gap wedge that went with the set, then got the Vokey's for the 54 and 58 degree wedges.
