It's almost shameful that I am making my first post to these discussion threads in an attempt to win some titleist bling. That said, I have been reading all the discussions for 9 months now and the very reason I just got fitted with SM5 wedges, 716CB, 915 D2 driver, 915fd fairway and 816H1 hybrid. Needless to say I am very excited, photo to come when I get them all. So there is really no better time to jump into the mix then now. The most butt clenching par 3 I have played is at the Willows Golf and Country Club in Saskatoon, Sk. on the Islands Course. Hole #8, it's an island par 3 that's only 146yds from the blue tees and 163yrds from the black. Wide, but narrow green and no bail out area and of course Saskatchewn has plenty of wind to add to this holes difficulty. My usual playing partners have no problem heckling and again more pressure added.

The other day, my brother told me to forget my 7 iron and use my putter to hit in this hole. Therefore I told him ok, at this moment, I added a tee and put my titleist pro v1x on the tee, than I did a couple practice swings with my with my putter, than I when for it I hit the awesome ball with my putter and greened it. That moment I was totally happy for that hole I used my putter the whole hole. Unfortunately I did not get birdie because it was long hard put to sink, but it was the most dramatic par ever in my golf history, because we laugh when it hit the green. Thanks for the chance

The 12th at Cooke Municipal in Prince Albert Sk. It is the courses signature hole. Water covers the from of 80 % of the hole and the wind usually pushes the ball to the water. down hill but from the back tees is anything from a 5 iron to a rescue club. Fortunately for me, I hit my 3 hole in one on this great hole.

And, I must say Darius, I'm very impressed with your travels! That's quite a nice "collection" of experiences that have accumulated!

As for me, probably the best or most memorable par 3 that I played was the Par 3 - 6th Hole at the Grey Wolf Course in Panorama Resort in BC's Rockies.

The hole is dubbed the "Cliff-hanger" as the tee shot to the green must traverse a small canyon or ravine to a "hanging" green. Of course, being in the mountains, there is a strong wind that comes down the ravine, shifting directions from morning to late afternoon. And, to add to matters, the elevation in the Rockies also can play havoc with club yardage/distances!

The last time I played, I was fortunate enough to have made it over the ravine (took plenty of club!) and managed to make a par ... to me it was an "all world" par! :-)

Great question! For me it would have to be the 227 yard 3rd hole a Wolf Creek in Mesquite, Nevada. It plays straight uphill to a blind green that is 35 yards deep. Throw in the desert winds and 60 foot rise to the green, you can hit anything from a driver to a 7 iron.
I was happy to even hit the green but was then faced with an 80 foot, downhill put that had a 3 foot drop in the middle of the green. Somehow walked away with a par but felt more like a birdie. Definitely a hole that gets the heart pumping early in the round.

Great sweepstake! At my age and with a young family, I haven't been able to travel and play some of the famous courses listed above, but I am fortunate to have a friend that is a member at Clublink - Le Maitre in Mont Tremblant. The 8th hole is 150 yards over water and seemed to always have a cross wind making club selection a challenge. The green is wide but narrow front-to-back and the pin always seems to be tucked behind the bunkers guarding the front edge of the green. Needless to say I've found the bunkers or water on a few occasions. I like to play aggressive. Even when dunking my ProV1 in the pond, you can still look out at the fabulous Laurentian mountains and tree lined peaks and feel great about the day. It helps that by the time you're done the hole, you're only one more hole away from the turn and a beer and hot dog for the back 9.

My most dramatic par three was on the moon palace golf and spa coarse in Cancun, Mexico while on my honeymoon. The hole was a 150 yard shot completely surrounded by water. My shot was on the left side of the green. When I got to my surprise was a crocodile. I two putt for par and was on my way. But that was my most dramatic par 3.

The 16th at Cabot cliffs last September, playing into a 3 club cross wind from the right. I missed the GIR but grinded out a par with a chip from long left of the green to about 4 feet and made the breaking putt. With that view of all danger playing from about 160 range that day. I had to start my shot about 15 yards right of the green which is all ocean and the ball held into the wind until the last possible moment when the wind finally took it left. Unreal hole! I also took a $5 dollar bet from another member in my group that I would par!

PGA West – TPC Stadium Course, Hole 17 (Alcatraz), 147 Yards

The first time I played the course it was about 20 years ago, I hit my 8 iron into the water. I proceeded to the drop zone, pulled out my pitching wedge & pitched the ball into the hole for a smooth par.

The 15th at Credit Valley. Long carry with a ridge splitting L-shaped green. No problem, I aced this hole in 2009.

Well I am still in search of my own hole in one but the first one I saw was quite fun. I was a spectator on the first tee at the 2000 Canadian Open played at Glen Abbey. Directly across from the first tee is the par 3 3rd hole. Between groups teeing off, Frank Nobilo hit an ace, won a car - the crowd went crazy. Should I be lucky enough to win, a large would be great.

I concur with a few of the other TT members. The Cauldron at Banff Springs. I hard to concentrate with the Sulphur Mountain right there. And the elk wandering the fairways. Picture perfect.

While not the most beautiful of holes/courses, #17 at Parkview Valley course (Toronto) supplied a ton of entertainment and settled/hedged a lot of matches as a junior golfer. Nestled on the edge of the forest, it's guarded by a thick embankment on the left (which provides some miraculous kick outs), a pond in front, and fescue in the back. Many of matches were won or squared up on this hole, making it a very dramatic hole as a junior golfer.

The most dramatic par 3 I have played would be the 14th at Couer d'Alene, the only true island green I have played where you have to take a boat to the green.
We made a spring golf trip a couple years back and this was the highlight of the trip. That day the hole was playing 143 yards, pin in the front and there was a slight wind in our face. I was confident in my play that day, as my playing partner razed me that I was using my Pro V1 and not changing out my ball for something of less quality. A full 8 iron into the wind had me land 15 feet to the right of the pin. Unfortunately I missed my deuce, but took my 3 and ran.

Definitely #12 at Arnold Palmer's Classic Club in Palm Desert, California. Nicknamed "Arnie's Oasis" for a reason. I'm from Sault Ste. Marie, Canada and I have never experienced something like this before this past March, it was the vacation of a lifetime! Without a doubt the most immaculate hole I have ever played. Most satisfying par I've made to date. Note the AP2 9 iron and ProV1! If I'm lucky enough to win I would appreciate a Size Medium! #TeamTitleist

There are soooo many great par 3's. From 17 at Bell Bay in cape Breton to #3,5,10,12,17 at Highlands. The most dramatic / memorable for me would be Sawgrass 17th, drama is trying to make par. Sunday pin, I hit it to the left back of green by the path, hit first putt short, just crests the hill and stops.... How ? Who knows... Cue the stress.. Guys having a good chuckle, caddies in disbeleif that it would stop... Take a read, lay the putter behind the ball and just tap it, ball rolls right to the cup bounces right off the back and into the air about 2 inches... Drops for par. Lots of hooting and hollering. Great great memory.

Some great stories! Mine would have to be last year #6 Par 3 on Orchard at Pen Lakes. Downhill with water left, right and back and a large bunker to the front. Wind always a factor on this one too! It was our mens league and they had set up a "beat the pro" We had to get it closer to the pin. He knocked his to within 4 1/2 ft of the pin and when I landed mine a good 12 feet past the pin, that is when my trusty Pro V1 bit and sucked back to the within 8" inches of the hole!!! What a great feeling not only to beat the pro in front of your buddies but also knowing that your Titleist ball will do what you imagined......Thanks Titleist

Last year my friends and I had the opportunity to play Sawgrass during our Florida golf guys trip and constantly talk about how truly amazing it was to actually play a hole so widely recognized and admired. Luckily, at the time of day that we reached the 17th, the wind was non-existent and was fortunate enough to to land the green on my very first attempt and made birdie! Worth every penny to play this hole!!!
