Spikes, simply because that is what comes on FJ Icons and I wear them 90% of the time.. The spikes (cleats) are easily replaces and gives me a reason to pay extra attention to my investment, although cleaning is simple with the Maguires car upholstery wipes!

I like both. If it’s dry out then spike less all day but if it’s dewy or a little damp out spikes are the way to go.

I am a early morning golfer. 95% of the time I tee off before 8:00 am so moisture on the course is always present. Because of this reason I always play with spiked shoes, however, I will use my spike less pair when I am at the range on a flat and usually dry time of day.

Great to read this. I am scared of trying the spikeless shoes due to having knee replacement and falling. I was playing last week with a gentlemen who had a pair of Echos spikeless and he slipped and fell into the trap. I know you need to be careful but I am sure he would not have fallen with spikes.

I would love to go spikeless but the courses I play tend to get over watered. I feel like I’m always slipping on those days.

Spikes, both are comfortable but I feel (in my head mostly) my foot did or might slip without spikes. Just a mental thing I'm sure but my game can't afford another mental assignment. Lol

I am an early morning guy. We tee off at 8 am and in the low country the course can be damp in the am. Our men's group plays three days a week. My preferred shoe is definitely the Pro/SL, but I do rotate with my DryJoy tours. I have never had an issue with grip with that shoe, even in a heavy rain, when caught off guard. I own six pair of the Pro/SLs and eight pair of the DryJoy Tours and find the grip to be very similar. If our course gets a heavy downpour of rain or flooding from the high tides and is open for play, I wear my FJ boots.

I always prefer spikes, its a mental thing I think though.

I recently switched to the FJ Flex ... prior to that I wore spiked shoes (Hyperflex and Hyperflex II). I found out that the spikeless suited my swing better (improved balance)

For years I would only put on a pair of spikes. A couple of years back, my buddy talked me into purchasing a pair of spikeless and I have not looked back since then. I have multiple spikeless shoes and I have never had an issue with slippage or losing my footing when I bite down and hit one 110%. Also from my experience, they are more comfortable as well!

I wear both, mainly spikeless. The weather will determine on which. I tend to find that spikeless shoes are more comfortable.
