Looking for some pro tips on how I can work on hitting the ball higher on the face of my driver. It seems a lot of my strikes are very low on the face and I’m giving away some distance. Thanks a lot!

  2. I have to ask... Have you tried teeing the ball up a bit higher?

Thanks for your response. I have, yes. It seems like the most obvious suggestion from people I have talked with. I tried that the last couple of rounds and didnt see much of an improvement. Thats why im on here looking for some other tips. I know I need to take a lesson with a teaching pro to probably work on my swing path.

If you are hitting low but on center, then teeing higher would work. If low and towards toe, you might be losing extension and that would also reduce distance. In that case, see a pro to work on tweaking your swing.

Do you know what your angle of attack is on a monitor? Try and feel like you swing up a bit mate.

I also have this problem. Ive searched many a days for "tips" to help this... unfortunately the fact is theres no quick fix.
I try to think of "breaking the tee" underneath the ball and that will help me get it higher on the face.

you gotta get on the practice tee and you gotta work it out! Go see a professional and get some help!

Sounds like you might be making contact at the very bottom of the downswing as opposed to the start of the upswing. I'm wondering if you move the ball slightly forward at address, this would allow the swing arc to bottom out, thus forcing you to catch the ball on the upswing, which should result in a higher ball flight.

    Hope this was helpful.
  8. I never thought about it like this. I am having he same problem and definitely going to try this!!!

It seems that a downward angle of attack drives your tee into ground and typically breaks tee off.

Hitting on the upswing lifts tee out of ground.

Usually that is what I have experienced myself and you can use it as a check sum to see if your hitting up on your drives.

    Any one else notice this?

Along with playing the ball forward (and use alignment sticks on the range to make sure because your eyes might be deceiving you) make sure you are in that preferred "K" position. Right shoulder down and feel like you are pre-setting the hips to the left. That gets you behind the ball and staying behind the ball. Good luck! Ideally, don't listen to us and see a pro.
  12. It sounds like a ball position is wrong, this could be because the ball needs moving up in the stance but having the ball to far forward can have the same result on the club face. I recommend hitting the range and play around with ball position until center strikes.

    Hope this helps

  15. My misses are low as well. For me that means one of two things. I either have the ball too far forward or just not keeping my eyes on the ball through impact. Hope that helps. Hit em great!!
