Late in the day, usually after work. Generally have the course to myself. That low angle light really brings out
the contours of the course !

Going out right after the early morning rabbits have cleared the first few holes, and before the noon-ers come in to tee off, love those 9am/10am tee times.

I love getting out early in the morning, but I also love playing as late in the day as daylight will allow in the summer. It is typically a quite time on my home course and the temperature is cooling down.

No better time than a tee off between 6:00 AM and 6:30 AM. Not a fan of the late day starts...

I would love that if the club would allow that. I want to go off first which is 7am at my club. I love nothing more than having dew on the grass, cool breeze in the air, and no one in front of me to take the flow away. I am a walker (I hate carts) and that morning stroll with the wife or buddies is the highlight of the day.
It also leaves time for the emergency 9 or 18 :) and plenty of day left for the honey do list

Have always been an early player. When I worked went off at 7 am on Saturday and Sunday and when I retired and joined a mens league, we tee off at 812 am. We are pass holders at a very popular City Municipal course and playing in the afternoon can be rather long and rounds over four hours loose my interest. Our morning tee times are pretty booked solid with local regular groups. Playing in Charleston, SC area, the temperatures in the months of June, July, August and into September can be murderous. Most of us walk and are seniors, so mornings are best for us. I would love to see more people walking who are physically capable, particularly the younger golfers. On those hot sunny days, we put up out umbrellas on our push carts and away we go and drink lots of water. A lot of clubs limit walking times on the course to the afternoon. Cuts into revenues on the carts and the reason for 7 am and 730 am openings is to allow the crews to mow the greens do morning preps and get out of the way of the golfers. We do not need to be hitting into maintenance crews. Patience is a virtue. Cheers, Chuck

I love the late afternoons-very few on the course-shadows lingering over the fairways-very serene time

The best time of the day during day light savings time is late in the day. Not only can you enjoy your time without all the presure from being pushed , but makes for a enjoyable experience.

Evening without a doubt. There's nothing like having the course to yourself when the sun is setting and the air becomes calm and cool. And no better way to wrap up a day. Great question, Jack!

Absolutely Rick, an after work day smash from the first tee cures all ills that the day created at least till the following morning. That feeling of ending the day with some good play with good company will never get old.

When is everyone's favorite time to play during the day. I enjoy getting out on the course early, while it is still cool out. - Jack
fairways and greens everyone.

I enjoy early in the morning when thew dew is out , or late as the sun is descending

Nine holes in that last hour and a half of sunlight
Bruce GBartlesville, OK
Middle of the day- fairways and greens are dry, feet stay dry, no looking into sun, and few people on the course. Thanks to all players who play early: they are not in my way, and they helped sweep the dew.
You Never see pros playing with wet grass - the course workers handle the dew.
