I will alternate irons on different days. Sometimes the PW, 8, and 6, some days the 9 and 7 only. Only a few shots with the fairways and driver. Finish with a few lob wedges and short pitches. Then chip and putt for about 15 minutes.

I picked starting with wedges and working up through the bag, but when it is a tournament I will stretch out first, roll about 10-15 putts, hit a few chips, then a small bucket of balls. Finish with the club I’m going to hit on the first tee, and act as hitting the approach shot to the green, then head to the tee box.

wedges up through the bag has served me well
  4. Usually start around practice green, start with short chips to warm up the muscles. Chip from different distances to different holes before moving to the putter. Try to two putt from hole to hole working on alignment. After 20-30 of short game, move to driving range with some warm up swings with seven and eight irons. Hit a few five irons, then 5-10 maybe driver, working on feel and alignment. Usually star

Warm up with a weighted club.
  6. Start with a few minutes chipping, putting to wake up hands and eyes, then move to the range where I dial in my most used wedge, then I hit 9 iron, 6 iron, 3 iron, and driver till I’m comfortable with each. Then back to chipping and putting.

I chose "begin with wedges and work up to driver" but then I always play the first few holes on the range. So if I know on #1 I will hit a cut driver then draw 9 iron, I will simulate that. I play the same courses so much I can go through 5-6 holes on the range. All that and I still stink! :-)

I try to get about 20-30 minutes of cardio before I head to the course (time permitting). I stretch on the range and start with wedges, then wedges and finish with driver.

Stretch/warm-up then hit irons 9-7-5(only odd number irons), then driver or 3-wood depends how I”m feeling and finish on the putting green.

    Great question!

My routine on important days usally exists of the following.

5x different length chip shots 60*
    To get the feeling going
3x different length pitch shots 54*
Starting to get a bit basic stretching in.
After that I start hitting fuller shots slowly
3x slower swings focussing on technique with a 48*

When I get the correct feeling I pick up the pace.
    3x full swings 54*
    3x full swing 718cb 9i
    4x pitch/chip with 7i
    3x full swing 7i
    1x full swing 6i
    1x full swing 5i
    3x full swing 4i

    9x ish chip shots 48*,54*,60*
    3x full swing 2 iron
    1x full swing hybrid
    1x 917f2 13,5 from tee
    3x 917f2 from the deck
6x driver building up speed each shot.

Afterwards I go to the chipping green
Do 9 near fringe chips alternating uphill/downhill and other lies 60*
    6x 7 yard chips 48*
    3x 15 yard chips 54*
    2x flop shots 60*

If i have the option i try to do 6 bunker shots aswell.

After that focus on puttings as much until the tee time comes. Most times about 15-30 min
Short puts long puts al mixed.
Try to really hone in on speed/ Pace of puts.

After that it’s time to get out there and rip it.

When in a casual game with mates I mostly get out on the first tee and do a couple warm up practice shots focussing on technique. And mostly this performs great. Also I must add I have had the ability last few months to get out to lesson/ practice twice/3 times a week for a good 1-2 hours.

Hope I could have been of some help.
And my stated routine won me my first ever offical competiton with something on the line!

    Good luck!

I stretch for a few minutes. I start with partial wedges shots, hit a dozen or so mid iron and a that many driver shots. I finish with a a dozen or so partial wedges 15 yards and in and hit about a dozen putts. Open a sleeve of ProVs
  12. Usually show up 15 mins before and hit a few chips/putts. Was much more involved prior to children! :)
  13. I start with wedges hitting short and working to longer shots. This helps me stretch and get into a tempo for when I switch to longer irons and the woods.

I usually show up 45 minutes before my tee time. I do 10 minutes of light to medium stretching before I do anything else. After that I move to the chipping and putting green to work on touch shots with my 60° Vokey wedge. Then 3', 5', 10' and lag putting after that. The course that I play at does not have a driving range so once I get down to the tee to play, I take out 3 irons and slowly swing them back-and-forth to finish stretching out the muscles and lengthen my swing. Bombs away!!
  15. Usually start about two hours before teeing off. Start with short chips to warm up the muscles. then chip different distances to putting green. Pull out two titleist balls and work on my putting with my Scotty Cameron platinum. After about 15-20mins ill head the range and hit 7 &8 irons. Hit a few 5 irons before closing out my session with 8-10 3 wood or driver. Pretty loosened up and ready to go after that.

Unfortunately for me I have to rush to the course most of the times straight after we to and in order to get in 18 I have to take a couple of swings with my alignment rods do some kinectic stretches and aim down first fairway and try to hit a little cut it would be nice to have the time to warm up but got too many things being s working dad of 4 boys

  18. 2-4 shots each with, 60* wedge, 52* wedge, 9 iron, 7 iron, 5 iron, 3 iron, 3 wood, then driver. Then a couple 30-70 yd wedge shots. And then if I’m about to play, I envision the first 3 holes on the course and okay then tee to green from the range. Followed by some chipping and putting on the practice green.

Unfortunately in New England on a 100 year old course, built when land was to valuable to waste on a practice range. So like many we only have a very short range, short to mid irons with restricted flight balls. 12-20 balls to get the swing grooved, then 6 out of the bunker, and the putting green with a few short chips, and 10-15 of varying putts.
IF....I'm a guest somewhere or traveling with a full range, then it's full wedges, through the bag to driver. Better than friends who are car, parking lot, tee. All 2-3 minutes before the time

My pre-round warm up is quite simple. 1) light stretching, 2) listen to some music with head phones to get pumped up, 3) have a pre-round cocktail to get a little more loose, 4) Stay off of the range ( as I need to save all my solid shots for at least getting off the first tee).
