    Even though I'm 66, I still like playing early and 11am at the latest except for if friends want to play twilight.

    Our men's league goes at 8 am on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, the year round. When I play in tournaments in the fall, I always ask for an late tee time on Friday, ensuring I get an early tee time on Saturday so I can watch SEC football on Saturday afternoons. It is a way of life in the South.

    Practicing by myself : 6 or 7 depending upon the light
    Playing with the Tea & Toasties : 9
    Society Days : 10.30
    Abroad with Mates : 11ish - or after a lazy breakfast
    Comps : Whenever I can get in but 9 would be ideal

    In the winter it's between 10 and 1 most of the time but I will layer up and go earlier. During the summer I'll go later in the day. It may be hot but I don't mind. Usually get the course to myself then. I enjoy playing with friends and getting paired up with new people but it seems I enjoy the solitude of playing alone about equally.

    I love teeing off before 8am. Only die-hard golfers up that early, pace of play is good and hardly any long waits on the tee box. Plus, you get the whole afternoon to tell the wife about the 20ft'r you rolled (even though you know she doesn't care).
