What’s up y’all! How many TT members prefer playing with a Visor rather than a traditional cap!

A visor provides no sun protection to the scalp. Not beneficial and I think one looks pretty dorky on most people.
A cap is better but don't neglect to use sunscreen on your ears.

Combination of both.. On hot days the visor lets out more heat!!
  6. I’m a huge fan of making sure somethings covering the sun off of you so as long as you’re using one or the other it’s a win but I prefer the hat. My daughter however loves the visors

Actually prefer the Aussie hat when it is sunny and hot. Provides ultimate protection in the Titleist line. Own five of those. Wear visors in the fall and caps in the winter along the coast of S Carolina.

I really like the Tour Elite Caps because of the fit for those of us with a big boy head. I have a good collection of Titleist caps and visors, but upon the advise of my dermatologist, I started wearing the Aussie hats and have grown to love them. She could not believe I never use sun screen. Told me I have the best skin for a man of 73 she has ever seen. Fortunately during my annual visits I have always been negative. Knock on wood. I grew up on a working farm and never wore a shirt when working in the fields. Good training I guess. Always had a good tan.

Hat only my friend. I would have a fried head if I wore a visor. I wear a hat everyday for sun protection due to my lack of hair.

Visor when I play in the summer high heat/humidity months here in NY, July and August. Fortunately, I still have all my hair to protect against the sun and the visor allows the heat to escape better. I also love soaking it in cold water and putting it back on my head to cool me down. I’m more about function over style when extreme weather demands it. Stadry hat in the rain, Mesh cap in the spring and fall, and my Japanese Titleist knit hat with brim in the winter that I found on eBay.

I agree. I usually wear hats but lately it’s been 110° in my area. I tried out a visor and it felt refreshing. I use a Aussie hat when I practice.

Shaved head plus fair skin equals a hat and lots of sunscreen for me.

  20. I’m unique in the fact that I don’t wear any type of head covering when I golf. I used to always wear a hat, but I’d get headaches. Realized that I can’t find a golf hat big enough that works for my head and baseball hats I have are way too hot. So I just use a lot of sunscreen!!

Always a cap during cooler months or an Aussie in the summer heat. In the 115° - 120° dry hear or any kind of heat in those temps, the Aussie is an easy choice... no disrespect to the visors.
  22. I play in a hat ???
  23. Trucker hat (mesh top) most of the time, always some type of cap, never owned a visor. I usually pick up a hat whenever I play a new course. Its a good conversation starter.

Been caps all my life, but I’ve just had a squamous cancer cell cut off my ear in May.
Just got a Titleist bucket hat - that’ll be my go to headwear from now on.
