During the season I try to get to the practice range once or twice a week but it usually turns out to be once a week on the average. My dream would be to practice or play every day. :)

Lately not enough. Joined a new club and hope to practice more.

But here’s a question, what is better practice, range sessions or playing?

I'm fortunate enough to live very close to my home course. During this part of the year when days are longer, I'm able to visit our practice area after work before I head home. Lately, I've worked on my short game and that has helped a lot.

I rarely get to practice so I voted other. On vacation in Hilton Head, I actually had time to go to the range before each round and I played my best two rounds of the year. Amazing how that works. With my work schedule I usually only have enough time to play a round so I pick playing over practicing.

My goal would be to hit the range once a week, but that's been tough with other things going on. I try to play a round twice a month, but it just depends month to month.

My routine these days is to alternate between a practice day and a play day. While I am not a threat to any tours out there, I am playing my best golf of late so this is working for me.
    • I try to get to a range but where I live the nearest range is 45 miles away from my house so I just go to the country clubs chipping and putting green and practice short game and use the course for my practice

I'm lucky to get to the range once a week. I get to play on the weekends but my main course doesn't have a driving range so I end up just playing.

Under normal circumstances, I play on M/W/F and work out at the gym T/T. Have been all over the place lately with my wife's surgery. Try to get in once a week at the range and go to the gym when she has physical therapy. Probably play five times this month. Practice would probably help my game, if only once a week. With hips and back issues have to limit my time on the range so I can play.

Guilty as charged...never go to driving range to hit balls but will spend time on the putting green. I'd much rather get my practice in on the course when it counts.

Every day. I got a garmin r10 set up in my garage. Even if I don’t set up the launch monitor, I make it a point to at least take 10 swings and pure atleast 3/4 before continuing on.

Unfortunately I don't practice near as often as I should. I'm with Mike the goal would be to practice or play every day. Even if it was just chipping a few or 30 minutes of putting practice.

I try to do SOMETHING at least 4 days a week. I only can get out to play once or twice per week, but even an hour on the short game or practice tee is better than skipping a day while the weather is nice.

some say too much, but my game says definitely Not Enough!!!! I will say that "practice" can also mean not necessarily having a club in hand - working on the mental game, practice swings, watching videos, etc.

I've always tended to be one that plays more than practices, but lately that has reversed.

My normal routine is to play twice a week and practice twice a week. My practice sessions are split between full swing and short game and putting.
