Played with my dad and my older brother at Sentry World for our joint birthday round (we all have August birthdays). On the signature 16th, I almost dropped an ace, with the shot hitting just ahead of the hole, hopping right past the flag and then spinning back just missing the ace.

Also a great late season round at Sand Valley with my brother. Got a sterling sunny Fall day after playing the first 5 holes in low fog conditions. Fall golf in Wisconsin can be beautiful. Walking and carrying my way around one of the great courses in shorts and short sleeves.

LOVE The Cradle! Perfect little example of the very essence of golf. Played it with my son when we were there for his US Kids World Golf Championships, and still think back on it.

My fav round of 2025 was at La Paloma in Tucson, AZ. I shot about 10/11 strokes over my normal round, yet I was having so much fun with friends, and it was such a beautiful day, and the course was so perfect, I didn't have a clue until we were finished. And even then, staring at that fat 86 on my scorecard all I could do was smile for such a blessed day.

MY BEST ROUND EVER! With 3 of my best friends- walking. Why did I have to get OLD to start playing really good golf? This was my first year playing with a Titleist driver. I was awarded it (GT2) from Santa Michael Breed on his morning Sirius XM show courtesy of Titleist. Also Club Champion gave me a free fitting. Maybe I should look into changing more of my clubs to Titleist….????
Very fun year of golf - several rounds under my age of 72!

I got to play a round with my Dad at TPC Sawgrass Dye Valley. The stadium course was closed for renovation and would open the in the next couple of days, but we were scheduled to travel home the day before. Sawgrass was on my Dads bucket list and I thought we would have another time to come down and play. I didn’t know that it would be one of the last times I would get to play a round with him. He passed away this year after a short bout with cancer. I miss him dearly and still look back at these photos with happiness and regret. Don’t let an opportunity go by thinking there will be a chance to do it later. Love you Dad.

It is a tough choice for me. The European Club at TT International was amazing. I played awful but it was just a great experience and course. Second, was the Men's Group Championship at my club. Made birdie on 18 to force a playoff. Took the playoff to a 3rd hole before losing. But as someone who doesn't play a lot of "competitive" golf, it was a blast to play well and have a chance at a win.

Finally got to play Cypress Golf Club, Pebble Beach. Great round with great friends, major bucket list opportunity. Perfect weather. Caddie asked why I had all titleist equipment and balls, and I told him it’s what works best for me.

  9. Favorite round of the year was right out of the gate…very first round of the year at Silver Leaf in Scottsdale, AZ. Five birdies, an eagle and four double bogies (God’s way of keeping me humble)

Got to watch Jon Rahm, Kevin Na and James Hahn practice and had the opportunity to discuss the newest golf club technology (and music) with Rocco Mediate at the driving range. I’m such a nerdie golf fan boy

Having read other people’s ’favorite rounds of the year’…I’d trade all mine for just one of my kids to pick up the game. Sincerest congrats to all who have the opportunity!!!
  10. My most memorable round this year was celebrating a milestone birthday playing Mammoth Dunes with my brother. First time playing with a caddie. Birdied the par 3, 8th hole after sticking it to about 6 feet.
  11. I’ve two favourite rounds of 2025 (2024 60th Birthday round on The Old Course will not be topped!)
    1. Aberdovey GC - recently voted Welsh golf course of the year, was finally ticked off my #bucketlist and didn’t disappoint.
    2. Oliva Nova Resort (nr. Valencia, Spain) - I won a 4 night, full board break with three rounds of golf including club hire and buggy. Took Mrs D (non-golfer) and the place is amazing. Lovely course, a lot of water. I got grouped with lovely people and will return there.

    Playing the Old Course.
The plan was to play with both boys but our oldest one blessed our family with the birth of our 1st grandchild.

  13. It was a great year with many memorable rounds but If I need to choose a favorit it would probably be my first PAR round I played at our home club Hamburg-Oberalster (Germany). I was joined by some of my team mates what made it even more special. That was something I could get off my bucket list and it felt amazing!

2025 was a great year of golf for me. It's hard to pick a favorite round, I've narrowed it down to 3. I enjoyed playing a round with extended family (at a family reunion) at Bear Lake Golf Course; then of course the round where I hit my first hole-in-one at Tiger Point Golf Club; and finally a beautiful round of golf on the Monterey Peninsula at Pacific Grove Golf Links. Good times. Here's to another year of golf in 2026...y'all hit 'em straight!
  15. I had the opportunity to play Seccession in Beaufort, SC earlier this year and it was a great time. The course is immaculate and the staff are very friendly.

Hands down my favorite rounds of golf in 2025 were the TT Dormie event, the TT Open in New Mexico, and getting in a few rounds in my home state of CA! Can't wait to see what 2026 has in store for me.

  17. Favorite round of the year, no question. Playing Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, SC and grinding out a 79 on a course that demands your full attention on every shot. Tight sightlines, tiny greens, and that classic Lowcountry feel make it as strategic as it is beautiful. What really made the round special, though, was the conversation with my caddie—he brought the course to life, sharing stories, strategy, and little nuances you’d never catch on your own. One of those rounds where the score mattered, but the experience mattered more.

  18. This summer was our 10th year of our family golf weekend trip with Uncles and cousins. Over three days we played 7 rounds at an old family owned resort in Minnesota where we all used to vacation together growing up. My cousin got his first hole in one and the first (of hopefully more to come) on these trips. Special weekend at a special place.

2025 was an amazing year for me. I added 3 more states to my list played. I got to play with a bunch of great people and some amazing courses. Played in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey (new), Colorado (new), New Mexico (new) and California. Took the trip with Frank and Dino to Hidden Creek for the TT Dormie and had a blast. Got to take my stepson and his two best friends on a senior trip to North Carolina, we played Tobacco Road, Mid South, The Cradle and Tot Hill Farm. Got rained out on McLemore The Keep, but still a great trip that I will always remember. Dino and I teamed up to play the TT Open at Sandia and Twin Warriors, but I made a stop in Colorado on my way out to play Fossil Trace. It really is one of the most fun courses you can play. After the TT Open, a bunch of us played a casual round at 7000' on Paako Ridge. That was crazy how far the ball was flying. In November, I got to finally take another golf trip with the only guy at work that I like, LOL. Robby and I made the 9.5 hour drive to Branson to play Big Cedar. Buffalo Ridge is my all time favorite course and Robby had Payne's Valley on his bucket list for a while. Two amazing days of golf and we both hit amazing shots on the 19th hole. Robby's almost went in!!! I am so grateful for the game of golf. The people I have gotten to meet and the places it has taken me. 2026 is already shaping up to be a crazy good year too.
