    Afternoon all TT fans.

Just really a general question about how everyone is doing so far this season with there new or same TITLEIST equipment?

Any positive stories or any one finding anything hard to adapt to?

I went back to a 915 D2 from 917 D2 and it just feels so much more better of the face.

Still to try the TS2 but hope to get to a fitting day soon.

Look forward to hearing your stories.

Two medals, 0.2 increase. Things can only get better!! Don't think the clubs are to blame.....
  3. Hi Simon,

My driving has improved immensely since switching to the TS3, managed to take home our first county major of the year yesterday by winning the Cambridgeshire Foursomes (www.cagu.co.uk/.../

Its worth giving the TS metals a go and see how you get on.

    Kind regards

I will try to get to test one Luke, just work and kids.
  5. I changed from the TM spider putter to a Scotty Cameron squareback,my putting was on point before the change but with my name being Scott I really wanted a Scotty in the bag so as soon as I’d saved enough I brought one . My putting stats went up after the change not down but I knew it would take a few hundred putts to get comfortable with,I can happily say that now my putting has improved and stats are 32 per 18 avarage so the change is now paying off
  6. Hey Simon

Biggest change this season is i am hitting the ball a lot further as i spent the off season working physically. i am still adjusting to distances but as the weather worms up my carry distances are almost two clubs big difference.

It’s too early for me to say how my new clubs will fare as I only got them at the weekend, but all the winter practice has meant I’m now playing to my handicap on a regular basis and have placed well in early season medals and fourballs.
Looking forwards to see how the clubs help my game and to see if I can get my handicap down from 19 currently to my target of 15 or lower.
  8. Not really started yet, but first summer Society Comp tomorrow and Club Monthly medal on Thursday so kicking off with a bang this week.

Been working hard on the chipping with my SM7's in the garden and starting to show real improvement with my distance control around the greens and chipping and pitching off different lies.

After 9 qualifiers this year 0.2 increase in the handicap, but so many positives so far this season just need to get them all in the same round.

    Good evening all,

First trophy was in the bag last month for this season.
joint winner of the winter sweep.
Also got a cheeky wee 3rd place in the 2 ball better ball I played in with my old mate Ronny jarvis who is almost 70 a couple of weeks ago.
Not played any opens or singles comps yet as I’m back offshore working the now

Can’t wait to get back hitting balls in 10 days time though.

    Team Titleist for the win!!

Good for me so far, won a scramble, recent scores of 77 and 78 show the new gear is working well.

Getting 290 out of my 16.5 degree TS2 wood is the most pleasing part of my game. Need to work on my short game but don't we all.
  12. Hi
Unfortunately my season hasn’t started yet!!
With various mishaps such as my work contract ending and no new job yet, mum being in hospital, and damaging ligaments in my knee I haven’t got out on course at all this year -very frustrating!!
I have TS2 driver and fairway wood that I have only used twice at end of last year.
Itching to get out as soon as knee is stronger and put serious practice in to get from 15 to nearer 10
Fingers crossed it won’t be too long as I look out at another sunny day missed

  14. Hi

Swung a club for the first time last night following a hip replacement 4 weeks ago
Hit 50 balls with a PW and it felt great
Still a long way to go to be fully fit and another hip to be done but it did feel good to be hitting balls again
We forget how much golf is a part of our lives until you cant play!

Good luck with the recovery. My dad has had hips and knees replaced over recent years but is still soldiering on and I’m looking forwards to playing with him in an open 4BBB at my old home club in Derbyshire in June. I’m also hoping I’ve inherited my mum’s joints

New Putter ( Scotty Futura 5s) and driver (TS3 fitted) for this season, won first stableford comp with 40 points, H'CAP dropped from 18.5 to 17.0, driving the ball much better and putting stats better, looking forward to the rest of the season with new confidence

4 medals so far. Went up 0.1 in the first one then hit buffer in the other 3, happy with that so far.

Weirdly I thought I hit the ball better in the first round, yet it was the other 3 that I scored better. Think I just had better course management in those rounds.

Got 3 more medals in the next 7 days, one of which is a big board comp. Need to knuckle down and get some range work in before that.

Bit up and down for me. First two rounds seen me cut back to Cat 1, next two seen me going back up to 6 again but overall I'm -.2 for the season so can't be overly disappointed.

Since my 4 new Vokey wedges my short game is improved a lot.
Moving from 2 wedges to 4 wedges just gives me more shot options and bringing the ball closer to the hole to score lower.

So far the TS drivers have not matched my tour assembled driver 917.

    Happy swings,

Update...GOLF IS (another word banned from public forums)..

Played summer doubles knockout yesterday...Shot best round of the year -3 (69 net) Not my best driving round but didn't lose me any shots, average putting although holed some good saves under pressure. My dependable TS fairways were very poor (well I was with them).

I was giving away 3 shots to both opponents and my partner 2, we were 2 up after 9 and only lost one of the holes we gave shots away on. we were 3 up a couple of times but lost by 1 hole to a 160 yard approach on the last to 12 inches for a par. Partner and I both missed long putts by inches for the half...

Score not counting to handicap so no change.

Oh well I more singles knockout to play.... Happy golfing everyone
