  1. Longer off my irons and the amount of spin is perfect.
  2. Recently bought the avx for mainly the distance low flight and high optic yellow version. Instanly gaindes atleast 10 yards . If you have not tried the avx it should be a priority.

I played today with the AVX ball. All I can say is WOW!!!

I normally play from the white tees but today I played from the blues. I was hitting my drives longer than I do from the white tees...and a whole lot straighter. Iron shots were longer as well.

I can assure you that this is my new ball.

I typically play the Titleist Trusoft but decided to test the AVX. Hot July day (85-90) with just a little moisture in the ground (more hard than soft) and slight wind (less than a club)

    Results:

    Hole 1
Typically play a driver-5 or 6 iron to green
*Hit driver wedge and blew it over the green 10 yards.

    Hole 2
    Usually a driver and wedge
*Got frisky with it and hit a driver 10 yards short of green

    Hole 3
Driver-5 iron and 8-9 iron usually
*Driver-3 wood 10 yards over green

To spare everyone the monotony, the whole round went like this.

I am really impressed with the compression I am getting off the tee shot. All irons are longer. Putts and chipping I need to get a better feel as that part of the game suffered due to the feel on my putter was alot softer than I am used to usually and i left most putts short. Chipping need a little practice to get a better feel. All chips checked more than usual.

Other thoughts are that I felt the trajectory was comparable to the Trusoft. Distance, no question longer and by at least 5% perhaps. Putting feel and chipping much more feel. Durability, I cannot tell the difference between the Ball I used all day or the two others in the sleeve-incredible!

Lastly, I never thought I would say it because I am pretty tight with a dollar, but this is the ball for me moving forward! I did not plan on saying I would be buying a premium ball but this is too good a ball for me to pass up on. Amazing ball.

If you have not tried this ball yet, do yourself a favor and get a dozen. I think you will be pleased.

I did not have the opportunity to test before launch. However bought them the second I saw them in a local shop.

    One word: amazing.

The feel of the irons is like butter!
Like the flight and spins enough for me to one hop stop. Pumped a lovely drive 262 meters in to the wind yesterday on a course without slope. This is the ball I will be playing for as long as I can.

Can’t wait to get an e-mail with an offer for a multi buy!

    Great job, once again!

  7. Have not had the chance yet to try them being in Australia, currently using the tour soft but may find the AVX interesting.

I used the new AVX for first time this week. Normally I use the Bridgestone B330RX. Biggest difference between the two is the AVX has lower ball flight, which results in increased distance. Helpful when laying in windy conditions. I didn't notice a lot of difference in feel between the Bridgestone and AVX off the club face or putter. My opinion the AVX is suited to my game and the conditions I play particularly the lower ball flight.
  9. The Titleist AVX is longer and straighter than the Titleist ProV1x for me. I have found MY ball. Thanks Titleist.

I really like the AVX. I get longer distance with all my clubs woods, irons and hybrids. My only complaint is that the covers dull and lose their shine after a few rounds. They tend to scuff more readily than the Pro V 1

It's a great ball. Not sure I'm 100% ready to switch to them from the Pro V1x. I'm a high ball hitter by nature, so I don't notice that much change in trajectory. I do notice the distance and the additional run out on the green. The AVX hits and runs out 5-10 feet, the Pro V1x drops and parks it right there. It also runs out a little more on chips.

I really like it and will continue to play it for a few more rounds. I'm not leaving Titleist, so I can't lose with two great options.

  12. I completely made the switch from ProV1 to the AVX about a month ago. I couldn't be happier with the results. The ball is longer and I love the soft feel. I broke 80 (78) today for the first time this season.

You you know Mike when the ball first came out I got a sleeve played a couple of rounds with the yellow ball and said yeah good ball more distance good job. Went back to my Prov1. Did I give the AVX a real opportunity. Not really. Like most folks on here. Earlier this year I put the ball in play for about a month and a half, which means three to four rounds a week. Giving me the opportunity to hit with every club in the bag. I play at least one day a week with a teaching PGA professional and he really noticed a big difference in my distance over this period of time. Don't get me wrong, I love both of the balls. In most cases I play from the senior tees because of my age, at 72 I just do not have the length anymore and want to enjoy the game, but still like to play in tournaments. With my irons, I am not a digger but a picker so I do not spin the ball so when I do play in the tournaments I need a little extra length and the AVX just might be what I need when I have to move back a little. Having given the AVX plenty of time to get acquainted with my Titleist clubs and knowing the correct distances now, which do differ from the Prov1s, I can comfortable playing with each of the balls, when to occasion arises. Being a player where spin is not an issue either ball is right for me, and when I need something to get the ball a little farther I will be using the AVX to be a little more competitive. I like the ball now that I have given it a fair chance and am comfortable with it, with my equipment.
  14. Tested the AVX over my last couple of rounds. One thing I really enjoyed about the ball was (for me) a more penetrating ball flight, especially with my irons. It has a nice feel to it, and I really couldn't tell a difference between it and my ProV1s in the control from the 80-125yd range. The only knock I have is that I did not feel like I had as much control chipping around the green with this ball. I know exactly how my ProV1 will react, but I had a tougher time judging with the AVX. Probably just need more rounds with it, though.
  15. Fantastic ball for those of us , who have less than 110 mph club head speed.
Straighter drives, longer and straighter irons and all the benefits of a Pro V.
  16. I absolutely love this ball. My biggest fear is that you will quit making it. I shot 3 of my last 5 rounds breaking 80 on very tough courses. Unbelievable distance and spin control.
  17. since switching to the avx i have in the last 3 weeks had a double eagle 2 on a par 5 and shot my age with 69. great ball even for an old fart.

Bought a sleeve in Hawaii to try. Unfortunately, lost all three on the same hole. I’m not sure what hurt more, the 12 I carded or the $20 I paid for the sleeve.

I plan to retest with some locally priced balls once the weather warms up in Chicago. Will keep you posted...

Haven't played it a whole lot. Hard to get away from my ProV1x. I agree with the above folks who said that it's the best ball Titleist makes that doesn't say ProV1

Since changing to the AVX golf ball in January I've won two separate club championships (super senior division); three member guest flights; one overall (all divisions) member guest championship; our club flag day tournament; our club couples championship; and a few other nice golf finishes such as second in our county senior tournament. My driving distance is at least 15 yards longer; my iron shots are more accurate than ever; and my chipping and putting are exceptional. I'm almost 73 years old and my handicap index is under 5. Golf is more fun than ever. My friends say "You are on a roll!" However, they don't want to play me for money. Thanks Titleist for this golf ball. It is great for my golf game.
