  1. I use the ProV1 side marking off the tee oriented for what shot shape I want to play (fade or draw), and on the putting green for start line. A solid line is a bit too distracting for me, but just personal opinion.

I’ve always wanted to look only at a clean white ball. I think it’s difficult to place an alignment aid/stripe exactly as I’d want it. I pick a spot close the ball directly on my line and roll it over that spot, aligning the putter face squarely perpendicular to the intended line I need to hit that spot. Works well for me!

I use the lettering and the arrows on the ball.
Those are good enough for alignment to me...

I mark my ball with RED line and 3 dots, freehand..........more for focus the alignment.......on the green I look for a spot past the hole for up hill and short of the hole down hill....this is done after pumb-bobing..........been doing this for over 50 years of playing and am a good putter

I use it off the Tee, aligning the line to an intermediate target that's in between where I am aiming on a green or fairway. I visualize I red line through the line on the ball extending to the target and a blue line for my feet doing the same. I feel this not only helps with my aim but also with my bodies alignment. I've never seen anyone do it like myself. I literally get down on the Tee like I'm lining up a putt. I also use it putting like anyone else that does the same, I prefer putters with a Line so I can match the lines at address.

On short(ish) straight putts I like the aid, otherwise no.
  8. I use it on the tee and green, mainly out of superstition on the tee. I add a line for putting, adds to my confidence!

Actually, I use a Check-Go to spin balance my golf balls, then mark them along the meridian. I’m convinced it makes all the difference for a true roll. I’m surprised the premium ball manufacturers don’t do this. It would be very easy for them to spin balance their balls before imprinting. I play a yellow Tour Soft.

Absolutely use an alignment aid. When Johnny Miller said on TV that the alignment aid should be illegal, I knew it was something that benefited the player. Titleist should have an option for EVERY ball with an alignment aid already pre-stamped.
  11. I use 3 lines on ball that match lines I added to my Odyssey putter.
  12. The suggestion was made to me, by a college coach, to always place the number on ball to the rear, any time I could place the ball. Gave me something better to focus on when driving and putting. Have done that for over 40 years.

Absolutely not, greatly slows play and paralyses some players.

    False security

I have been using the Pro V1 print as an alignment for years. No real need for more aligning methods.

    So I use what I can. - - lol

I use a Check-Go to spin balance all my golf balls, then mark them along the meridian. I believe this gives me a truer roll of the ball when putting. Too bad the premium ball manufacturers don’t do this as it would be very easy for them to do. I play a yellow Titleist Tour Soft.
  17. I am a feel player. Alignment gadgets are a bit too OCD for me. And I think the game is best played a good pace w/o a lot of fuss.
  18. I use the side stamp markings on the ball. I don't see the need to mark the ball. Having the mark pointing towards the intended line is important to me.
  19. My favorite alignment aid is the Triple Track by cally. I use their ERC Soft ball. I wish it was a Titleist but the ERC Soft is a 3 piece ball and is eons better around the greens than Titleist’s 2 piece Tour Soft. The Triple Track is great for making more putts!

I don’t use an added line, but “generally” use the side-stamp so that I have something to focus on. I am bothered by players who mark, replace and step back from their ball…then twist or realign their ball once or twice before they pull the trigger. What a waste of time. I wish the USGA had made it a rule when they revised the rules in 2019 that once the ball is replaced it is “in play” and could no longer be fiddled with.
