I use the alignment aid when putting, but I never thought of using it off of the tee.

Seems like very interesting scenario that I may want to try out.

For more years than I can remember I have always marked my Titleist ball with a black dot on either side of the Titleist logo on both sides of the ball. That way I can use the logo to line up the putt. When I make a good stroke, the ball appears to have a stripe as it rolls to the hole. If it doesn't roll true, I know that I mishit it somehow.

I love the enhanced alignment option on the new prov1. I like not having to darken a line over the previous logo to make it more pronounced. I also put a dot about 6 dimples away from the end of the line. This helps me see an impact spot on drives and tee shots in addition to having the alignment line.
  4. On occasion, I use the markings on my Pro V1x to align, but for the most part, I like a clean look other than a small identifier.

I spin my balls to find the cg and then place a single line corresponding to the appropriate line of truest roll. The line rarely aligns with any of markings on the ball.
    Works for me!

Yes - putting green only. I am superstitious on the tee and will strike only the plain side of the ball.
  9. I only use it 15 feet and in on the green. Longer putts I just pick a spot to hit and think more about feel and distance.

I mark my ball around the number and align that up, and down my intended line. I don't add a line but would like Titlest to add that feature! I would prefer something subtle but distinct, its a good point of focus on the ball!

I use either the logo and arrow on the side of the ProV1x, or sometimes put a black line across those to make an alignment line.
  12. I align on the tee to ensure I am on correct line when I take stance.
I line up on the green to the initial start line for the putt.

Alignment aids are just one other thing to think about for me. I try to ignore it as much as possible. I do like having an alignment mark on my putter though.

I find a line on the ball too much of a bother. The time taken to line it up, them to step over it and second guess. I out to a point 12 -15 inches in front of my ball, on the intended line to take the break; works well for me.
  15. I just use the arrow marking that comes on the Pro V1 for alignment.
  16. All I want to see at address (putt or drive) is all white (or yellow) ball. I do, however, like an alignment line on my putters. In addition to the line on the lower back portion of my putters, I also cut a notch on the upper forward part of the putter. When those two lines line up I know my eyes are directly over the putter. But be very careful when cutting top notch. If its off even a little, your eyes won't be over the ball at address. That happened on one of my putters - I don't use that one much any more!

I spin balls to find the center of gravity and in doing so also mark them with a line on the ball's equator. The process also identifies the heavier side of the ball which I mark with a dot on the lighter side. This helps when hitting either an intentional fade or draw. I use the line both on the tee and the green. It's statistically improved my score and handicap. It's pure physics at lay. I hear others find it distracting. I find it not to be so as I pick a spot in front of the ball once set up over it on the drive. In the green I simply set the line on where I want to ball to start and then focus on a point about 2: in front of the ball and then focus solely on distance control.

I use the alignment on the putting green and while putting during play.

Use to…all the time….now not so much. Kind of made think too much, and frustration setting in when just missing. More trust of eye and feel, also less time over putt analyzing.
  20. I use the Titleist script lined up with the middle of the fairway when I'm driving, and I use the side stamp for the starting line when putting.
